Hawk’s clear documentation of work performed, map of our facility, and easy-to-read reports have created a partnership unlike any other. I feel like every question I ask is answered with “Yes, we already took care of that.”

Your Gas Detection System Might Be Failing Quietly

Most assume their gas detection system is fine because it hasn’t gone off.

But that’s like assuming your smoke detector works because your house hasn’t caught fire.

As incidents become rarer but more catastrophic, the illusion of safety becomes your biggest liability.

We Don’t Sell Alarms

We build a program that ensures your alarms work when it matters most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to test my gas detection system?

Yes. Gas detection system maintenance is required per code, International Fire Code (IFC) Section 916.11. You can also incur fines or fees through Fire Departments (in their Notice of Violation). The only way to ensure the system is actually protecting your facility is regular testing and calibration.

How often should sensors be calibrated?

Most manufacturers require every 6 months, especially for CO, NO₂, CH₄, and refrigerant sensors. Annual calibration is the minimum to stay compliant and avoid silent failures.

Do I need to shut down operations during a visit?

No. All inspections, testing, and calibration are done without interrupting normal facility operations. We work around your workflow to minimize disruption.

How long does a visit take?

A standard calibration and inspection visit takes 1 to 10 hours, depending on sensor count and location. Multi-sensor or multi-panel sites may take slightly longer.

Do you work with my equipment brand?

Yes. Hawk services all major fixed gas detection brands, including Macurco, Honeywell, Bacharach, Dräger, and others, with technicians trained across multiple platforms.

Can you service multi-site portfolios nationwide?

Absolutely. Hawk provides national coverage, standardized reporting, and one unified process across every site in your portfolio, eliminating the patchwork of vendors and inconsistent documentation.

What happens if you find a problem?

We document it, show you exactly what’s causing it, and either fix it on the spot or schedule a follow-up depending on the issue and part availability.

Can you provide documentation for auditors?

Yes, every visit includes a full calibration certificate, sensor map, pass/fail log, expiration tracking, and corrective actions. Our reports are designed specifically for safety and compliance reviews.

What types of facilities do you work with?

We service industrial, commercial, manufacturing, healthcare, parking, research, data centers, food/beverage, and multi-site national portfolios.
